Meeting opened 7:31 - Mayor absent; Anthony Perno presiding

Public Comments:

Ms. Gail Ford asked if the agreement with Fieldstone had been compelted. A. Perno replied that we have an agreement in principal. Ms. Ford asked questions about details of deal. Mr. Perno answered Ms. Ford's questions at length. M. Brunton clarified details of appraisal, Resolution R09-159, and details of borough funds which purchased the property. Question about "House built in a day" purchase - A. Perno stated he did not know the answer.

Mr. James T. of West Walnut thanked Police for watching traffic on Walnut, and again asked for Police presence or installation of speed hump.

Mr. Mark Ianucci of West Walnut asked about grass repairs for damaged caused by lef pickup. J. Brickley said repairs will be done about mid-March.

Mr. Harry Weidman of Hamilton Street asked about Resolution 10-22 (actually 10-22). They had heard nothing about redevelopment and wondered what was going on. A. Perno said borough is not planning to absorb the surrounding houses. I suggested that the residents there keep an eye on events.

The 12/14/09 Minutes were tabled on my motion on a vote of 6-0. Reason: There may be an error in R09-159.

The 12/28/09 Minutes were approved 5-0-1, Mr. Brickley abstaining.

The 1/4/10 Minutes were approved 6-0.

Old Business: None

New Business:

Resolution 10-24 passed 4-1-1, Mr. Brunton dissenting and Mr. Brickley abstaining. Reason for Mr. Brunton's "NO" vote: The bike path upgrade planned is an extravagance the borough cannot afford. Mr. Brunton will not support it because the residents are already suffering under a too-high local tax levy.

Resolution 10-25 passed 5-0-1, Mr. Brickley abstaining.

     On consent agenda:

     Resolution 10-26

     Resolution 10-27

     Resolution 10-28

     Passed 6-0.
