Public Comments on Ordinance 09-17: No comments
Public Comments on Ordinance 09-18:
Ms. Gail Ford noted that Merchantville.com carried information with old version of ordinance. She asked how much taxpayer money was to be spent on the bikepath. Answer: $75,000.
Ms. Monica Sohler asked Council to consider very carefully of ordinance was really what should be passed.
Public Comments:
Ms. Christine Dixon & Ms. Dorothy Foley discussed concern with new speed limit sign on Westminster being in front of their houses.
Engineer's Report - no written report. Verbal: Sewer relining advertising was out November 5. Pre-bid meeting to be Tuesday Nov. 10. Bids to be opened Tuesday December 8.
The 10/19/09 Minutes were approved 5-1, Mr. Brunton dissenting because minutes are incomplete..
Council members provided reports.
Highlights:
EMS had 30 calls, all answered by Pennsauken.

Merchantville Court - collected $14,939.56. Added 429 cases; disposed of 402.
Old Business:
Ordinance 09-17 passed with a vote of 6-0.
Ordinance 09-18 (old version) was tabled for re-advertising after a motion to amend the Ordinance from borrowing $331,835 to $339,335 was passed 6-0. Ordinance 09-18 (new version)
New Business:
On consent agenda:
Passed 6-0.
Resolution 09-139 passed 6-0
Discussed Website. CADDISArt was recommended as the developer. Council approved. Council appointed Mr. Brennan, Mr. Brunton & Ms. Brouse as the website committee in a 6-0 vote.
Financial reports are in order.
Resolution 09-140 - Bills totaled $1,768,567.73.
Motion to pay the bills passed 6-0
I asked for an update on TCE & PNC Bank status.
Mr. North reported that redeveloper's agreement for TCE is in work.
Mr. North also reported that Yards Brewery is having finance difficulties with reconstrcutionin bank needed to convert it to a brewpub. Other options are being looked at.
I pointed out that with winter coming on, maintenance in borough-owned vacant buildings (PNC Bank, EMS Building) needs to be addressed. Mr. North said that Fred Kohler will address that.
