Mr. Bob Disch:

    1.    FW Grigg Post thanked Shawn Waldron and the Boy Scouts for their recent help

    2.    Article in Newsletter about the flag drop box didn't go far enough in recognizing those who were involved in getting it placed

            - It is already in use

            - No mention of the volunteers who contributed to the project.

Former Mayor Mr. Jack Morrissey:

    1.    It was nice for the borough to recognize Russ Mutschler

    2.    He has been working with the New Jersey Conference of Mayors Convention in Atlantic City

            - Discussed some of what the NJCM Convention opinions were

  1. ORDINANCE - 09-13 Amending Chapter 6oB of the property maintenance code (Voted to introduce 5-1, Mr. Brunton dissenting)

  2. RESOLUTION - 09-76 Parks and Playground Program (Passed 5-0-1, Ms. Fields abstaining- she was directly impacted by this resolution)

Mall Chevrolet bid     $20,365.00

NE Auto Outlet bid    $20,964.25

Mall Chevrolet bid was approved by a vote of 6-0

 

SPEED HUMPS (not on published agenda)

Two will be installed on Volan and one on Gilmore

    Two bids received:

        - American Asphalt    $6125.40 per hump

        - Jay Construction      $6825.00 per hump

    Council selected American Asphalt 6-0

  1. DISCUSSION - Community Center Rental Fees (A proposed new set of fees was discussed. You can find them here. Council did NOT adopt them at this time)

  2. APPROVAL - Use of PNC parking lot for the Farmers Market (Approved unanimously)
    Farmer's Market will be held each First Friday from 4 pm - 8 pm.

  1. ANNOUNCEMENTS
    NJ Municipalities magazine subscriptions will be reduced to two copies and will be available at the Clerk's Office.

  2.   PRIVATE SESSION - 09-77 Matters of Personnel
    After Private Session Council returned to Public Session. Motion was made to increase the Borough Clerk's salary to $45,000. Motion passed 4-2, with Mssrs. Perno and Brennan dissenting.
